About the Presenters

PANELIST:

Anna Williams, MNSc, RN, CNE

Anna has been a Registered Nurse (RN) for 10 years. She entered into the nursing profession in 2013 and has been in nursing education since 2018. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Arkansas State University in 2013 and her Masters of Nursing Science (MNSc) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2019. She achieved her Certification in Nursing Education (CNE) in 2021 and desires to achieve the Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification. She teaches mental health and obstetrical nursing theory and simulation. Her research includes initiatives through the Center for Simulation Innovation. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs. Anna has found her true calling as a nurse educator.

PANELIST:

Joanna Hall, MNSc, RN, CHSE

Joanna is the Director of Simulation and Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Nursing. She received her associate and two bachelor’s degrees at UA Little Rock, her Master of Nursing Science at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Change Leadership for Equity and Inclusion at the University of Central Arkansas.

As director of one of the largest simulation centers in Arkansas, Joanna has had the privilege of working with the most exceptional team of faculty and staff in their Center for Simulation Innovation – named as the INACSL Frontline Simulation Champion Excellence team award winner in June 2023. Her research and grant work centers largely around diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in nursing education and simulation. Joanna aims to live and work by the Ruth Bader Ginsburg quote "Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you." As she fights for the future of nursing education, she works diligently to lead others to join her in her passions for utilizing data to drive institutional change, helping grow and empower novice leaders, and advancing equity in her community.
